The 2024 Stanley Cup champions begin defending their title tonight in Tampa. Florida Panthers Head Coach Paul Maurice says they're in familiar territory playing against Tampa in Game One of the opening round, even if it's on the road. Noticeably missing from the lineup for the first two games is defenseman Aaron Egblad who's serving a twenty-game suspension for a failed drug test.The first two games of the best-of-seven series are in Tampa; the Cats return home to Sunrise Saturday.
