A death investigation continues after a worker lost his life while doing maintenance inside an underground drainage pipe in Port St. Lucie yesterday.

24-year old Austin Falcon-Rodriguez was suddenly pushed out of the pipe and through an open grate sitting on the roadway above.

Police say they're unsure if it was water pressure or air pressure, or a combination of both. The victim's father was also working on the job site at the time.

Rodriguez' body was found along a stretch of Becker Road that is under construction and not yet open to traffic.

Detectives are investigating to see what type of maintenance was being conducted and what kind of tools were used.
