Diddy has cleared out all his Instagram posts — including his apology to Cassie.
Fans began to notice the disgraced music mogul's empty IG page on Thursday, June 20. Diddy's page used to have posts dedicated to his family, past accomplishments, and promo for his last album The Love Album: Off The Grid. His most recent viral post came in May when he uploaded a video, in which he took responsibility for his actions after CNN leaked damning footage of him beating up his ex-girlfriend Cassie.
"I’m so sorry," he said at the time. "But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
Diddy tried to erase his past on Instagram as he continues to face an array of sexual assault allegations that have been made against him. Following Cassie's bombshell lawsuit last November, the Bad Boy Records founder has been hit with more lawsuits and is currently under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security. Although he hasn't been charged yet, Diddy could face a criminal indictment soon.
The aftermath of the violent video of him and Cassie has caused Diddy to fall even further from grace within the past few weeks alone. The Mayor of New York City Eric Adams recently asked him to return his key to the city. Howard University recently cut ties with him by rejecting his $1 million donation and shutting down the scholarship established in his name. Several of his former celebrity friends like Meek Mill and Yung Miami have reportedly unfollowed him on IG in an attempt to distance themselves from him.
As of this report, neither Diddy nor his attorneys have explained why he cleared his Instagram. It could either be the first step toward a rebrand or an ominous sign of more drama in the future.
